Het volledige album komt, zoals te lezen is op Resident Advisor uit ergens in augustus maar de vier vinyl-versies waar het album uit wordt samengesteld, kuieren al een tijdje gemoedelijk over de internetten.

Als je een liefhebber bent van sferische deephouse (en dan bedoel ik ook echt house dieper dan de Marianentrog) dan zijn de releases van Deepchord / Echospace op Modern Love helemaal je ding.

Repost: RELICS - A Transmat Compilation

Vandaag is het , met uw goedvinden tijd voor een korte maar krachtige les Detroit techno. RELICS is namelijk techno at its finest; alle klassiekers uit de beginjaren staan erop en de LP/cd wordt door puristen gezien als één van de betere naslagwerken als het om de echte early works gaat.

En zoals je kan verwachten zijn de (nu) vooraanstaande artiesten vertegenwoordigd: Derrick May, Carl Craig, Model 500 (Juan Atkins - check ook nog zijn 'Clear') en Suburban Knight (James Pennington) waardoor toptracks als 'It is what it is', 'Infoworld', 'Strings of Life' en 'The Art of Stalking' niet ontbreken. Dus moet je je kennis even bijspijkeren of wil je gewoon de stof nog eens herhalen en/of ben je geïnteresseerd in den ouden dagen des Detroit technosch? Dan weet je wat je te doen staat..

Efdemin / Carsten Jost - Split EP

" This release goes deep. Deep into your soul, deep into your heart. Efdemin's "Just A Track" propagandises a deep filed minimal House track with the lyrics: "If House Is A Nation, I Wanna Be President!". Deep, relaxed and progressive at the same time, it has such a tasty bassline in the end. It's not "Just A Track", it is out of this world. Carsten Jost's "Love" is a very warm House track with fresh percussions. The flipping claps and percussions will be broken open by a deep stab which continues to be the main part. After some time a kind of Rhodes sets in with wonderful and dreamy notes. Now, what a mighty deepness. These tracks are really a good match, a typical Dial deepness " (bron)
